This beautiful matched set includes a plate and shallow bowl from Villeroy & Boch’s beloved “Rubus” pattern, produced in Mettlach, Germany in the late 1800s. The pieces feature exquisite deep blue-black blackberry branches and leaves, framed with a delicate patterned border.

Both pieces display a softly aged cream ground with allover crazing, a hallmark of antique ceramics that adds depth and authentic vintage character. Stamped with the Villeroy & Boch Mettlach mark and “Geschützt” (design protected), these are wonderful examples of 19th-century German craftsmanship.
